Quantum Foundations

Quantum Foundations is the early learning route for students who want to build real understanding before the formal machinery becomes overwhelming.

It is suitable for GCSE, A-level, and early university preparation. The focus is on clear ideas, careful mathematics, and steady confidence: waves, probability, energy levels, spin, measurement, and the first steps toward quantum mechanics.

Professional boundaries

For school-age students, teaching stays inside scheduled classes, agreed learning spaces, and appropriate parent/student updates. I do not run casual student DMs as a teaching channel. Communication, safeguarding, homework, and progress updates should remain clear, reviewable, and professionally bounded.

What we work on

  • quantum ideas before heavy notation
  • the maths that makes later mechanics possible
  • wave-particle behaviour, probability, and measurement
  • exam confidence without reducing the subject to exam tricks
  • a route into university-level formalism when ready
