Conventional Superconductivity Derivations

This appendix collects derivations supporting the conventional-superconductivity background chapter. They are standard results, kept here so the background chapter can focus on the physical structure used later in the thesis.

D₂h Representation Bookkeeping

This appendix records the minimal point-group bookkeeping used later when discussing orthorhombic multiorbital Hamiltonians. It is a local point-group guide, not a replacement for a full space-group or little-group analysis of a nonsymmorphic material [@koster1963; @birPikus1974].

Hund's Rule

Hund’s rule is the tendency of electrons occupying different orbitals of the same atom to align their spins whenever possible. In its simplest form, Hund’s first rule says:

This appendix collects numerical diagnostics supporting the microscopic test of equal-spin interorbital triplet pairing. These plots are retained to make the numerical claims reproducible, but they are not needed for the main logical flow of the results chapter.

Loop-Supercurrent Derivation Notes

This appendix records the compact derivations behind the loop-supercurrent results chapter. The purpose is not to reproduce the research notebooks, but to keep the analytic steps that make the thesis claims checkable.

Caustics and Semiclassical Focusing in Phase Dynamics

This appendix is not part of the self-consistent branch-selection argument. The thesis uses mean-field theory to determine whether a static superconducting branch is selected, and uses relative-phase response only as an observable consequence of such a branch. Caustics enter at a later, optional level: after a selected phase texture has been linearised into a collective-mode or phase-wave problem, a short-wavelength approximation may describe propagation by rays, and those rays can focus at fold or cusp singularities.

Publication Manuscripts

This appendix collects thesis-local PDF snapshots of the three paper manuscripts corresponding to the results chapters, plus the SSH paper’s supplemental numerical-methods PDF. These files are included in the thesis source tree so the submitted thesis can be read together with the manuscript versions used during preparation. In the combined thesis PDF, the full manuscripts begin immediately after this appendix note and are part of the ordinary page sequence rather than hidden file attachments.
