The default system is two main cooking days with an optional third light prep day.

Sunday

Main batch cook plus breakfast and snack prep.

Tasks

  • Cook 1 batch vegetarian meal -> 3-4 portions
  • Roast or prep vegetables -> 3-4 portions
  • Cook grain/carb -> rice, potatoes, couscous, or bulgur
  • Make snack batch -> seeded biscuits, oat bars, or energy balls
  • Prep breakfasts -> oats, yoghurt toppings, boiled eggs
  • Check emergency shelf -> restock list for ALDI/Mill Road

Outputs

  • 3-4 portions of one vegetarian batch meal
  • 3-4 portions of roast or prepped vegetables
  • one grain or carb such as rice, potatoes, couscous, or bulgur
  • one savoury snack batch
  • one sweet-ish snack batch or controlled treat
  • breakfast prep such as oats, yoghurt toppings, or boiled eggs
  • emergency shelf check for ALDI/Mill Road restock

Wednesday

Midweek fresh cook, lunch reset, and snack top-up.

Tasks

  • Cook fish or butcher meal -> 1-2 dinners
  • Refresh salad/greens -> lunches and dinners
  • Make or portion lunch boxes -> Thursday and Friday
  • Buy bread if needed -> second loaf of the week
  • Top up fruit/yoghurt/snacks -> avoid cafe drift

Outputs

  • 1-2 dinners from fish or butcher meal
  • refreshed salad or greens
  • Thursday/Friday lunch boxes

  • fruit, yoghurt, and work snack top-up

Optional Friday/Saturday

Flexible light cook, fish, butcher meal, bread meal, or no-cook social slot.

Outputs

  • fish dinner if visiting Fin Boys
  • butcher meal if something good is available
  • soup and bread if tired
  • roast, stew, or curry if weekend leftovers are wanted
  • no cook if social plans happen

This day should not feel like an obligation.
